Alfredo Sauce

2/3 cup Basic White Sauce Blend
2 tablespoons butter
2 ½ cups water
(3 ingredients above may be replace with one Basic White Sauce recipe already prepared)
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 
1/4 teaspoon white pepper (optional)
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

  1. (if using a pre-made batch of basic white sauce, place it in a large skillet and gently warm for step 1) In a large nonstick skillet, over medium heat, add butter, sauce mix and gradually whisk in the water.  Whisk constantly until sauce is thick and bubbly 
  2. Remove the skillet from the heat source and add cheese, pepper and garlic powder.  Stir until well blended.  (may increase any of these last three ingredients to taste as desired)
  3. Serve warm. 
  • SIDE DISH ~Use as a sauce over noodles or vegetables 
  • ENTREE ~ Add precooked chicken and pour over noodles 
Meal Trail Idea:
Make Chicken Alfredo tonight and Alfredo Chicken and Spinach Pizza later in the week.
