Brown Gravy

*This recipe uses seasoning blends found in the eCookbook, Mix it / Store it / Make it  ~ Entrees and Seasonings.  Click here to purchase and make the seasonings for your pantry!    

2/3 cup Basic White Sauce Blend
2 tablespoons butter
2 ½ cups water
(3 ingredients above may be replace with one Basic White Sauce recipe already prepared)
3 tablespoons My Favorite Roast Seasoning Blend

  1. (if using a pre-made batch of basic white sauce, place it in a large skillet and gently warm for step 1) In a large nonstick skillet, over medium heat, add butter, sauce mix and gradually whisk in the water.  Whisk constantly until sauce is thick and bubbly 
  2. Add the Roast Seasoning Blend as the sauce begins to thicken, continuing to whisk until blended.  Add water as needed to get desired consistency. 
  3. Serve warm. 
  • SIDE DISH ~Use as a sauce over noodles or potatoes 
  • ENTREE ~ Use as a gravy over hamburger patties
