3 cloves of garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons olive oil
5 tablespoons Simple Spaghetti Sauce Blend (or one single use blend recipe)
1 cup Merlot wine or cooking wine
3- 15 oz cans crushed tomatoes, undrained
16 oz package pasta of choice, prepared
- In a large skillet, saute the garlic in the olive oil over a medium high heat until it begins to soften.
- With a whisk in one hand and the other hand free, begin whisking the skillet while adding the seasoning blend, and then adding the wine. Constant whisking while you add these ingredients will keep them from scorching.
- Add tomatoes and let simmer, uncovered, for another 20 minutes. (simmer, not boil)
- Serve over prepared pasta.
NOTE: May add 1 pound cooked ground beef at the end of the cooking time if desired.
