2- 8 oz boxes of manicotti noodles, prepared according to package directions for firm noodles
1 1/2 pounds cooked ground beef, drained
2 tablespoons Basil and Garlic Seasoning Blend
1/2 cup milk
3 slices of bread, moistened with 2 tablespoons of water and then crumbled
1 egg, beaten
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
4 cups Quick and Easy Spaghetti Sauce, prepared (recipe here)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread out on counter a layer of wax paper and spray with a nonstick cooking spray. Place prepared and drained manicotti noodles on wax paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, seasoning blend, milk, crumbled bread, egg and 1 cup of the shredded cheese. Stir to combine.
- Gently stuff each of the noodles with the meat mixture. Any meat mixture left over can be added to your prepared spaghetti sauce.
- Cover the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish with a thin layer of the prepared sauce. Place the stuffed manicotti on top of the sauce and cover with remaining prepared sauce. Top with remaining shredded mozzarella and bake, uncovered, for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and just begins to turn golden.
