This time of year there are many recipes that call for pumpkin pie spice. I'm not big fan of the standard 'jarred' version of this spice blend, but I have created a blend that has the pumpkin pie flavors recipes call for in a blend that I actually enjoy!
Maybe you will like it too!
The recipe for this spice blend is equal parts of the following spices:
- ground cinnamon
- ground cloves
- ground ginger
- ground nutmeg
You can make your blend as big or as small as you like.
- a teaspoon of each
- a tablespoon of each
- a cup of each
I like to make a pint sized mason jar size to keep on hand this time of year and I found that one jar of each of the mini bottles (see picture) makes the perfectly portioned blend.
Once you have this blend on hand, you can use it in any recipe that calls for pumpkin pie spice. Like my recipe for Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake!
