Fast Flavored Frosting

Flavored frosting is great on cakes and cookies, and this recipe makes it super fast and easy to whip some up!

1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup any flavor of preserves you like
1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) of butter, softened.

  1. Place all ingredients into a mixing bowl and beat on high until creamy and spreadable.
  2. Use immediately or bag and freeze for up to 6 months.
  3. Placing the flavored frosting into a baggie is a great way to store as well as dispense.  When ready to use, just cut off a small portion of one of the bottom corners and squeeze to dispense!

Three simple ingredients but a world of options at your finger tips.
What's YOUR favorite flavor?
Use a bowl to hold the baggie still,
fold down the sealing track at the top of the baggie
and fill with ease.
Roll the sealing track back up and seal tight!
These can be stored in the fridge for use in the near future
or stored in the freezer for use up to 6 months later.
If you have frosting left in your baggie when done,
just place the baggie with the opened corner into a larger bag
and refrigerate or freeze as desired.

This recipe is perfect for turning the simple sugar cookie recipe posted {here} into any variety of sandwich cookies.

Pipe your desired flavor of frosting onto the bottom of one cookie...

And top it off with another cookie...
(these strawberry cream cookies are delicious just like this or frozen!)
