Tomato Basil Bread

Here is a recipe for a gourmet style bread made with a simple Beer Bread Blend as the foundation.  Just add some tomato and basil and you have a quick and easy Artisan bread!

Basic Beer Bread Mix (recipe for this blend is found in the Breads eCookbook featured below)
1 3/4 cups milk
2 tablespoons dried basil
1/4 cup dehydrated tomato, diced (see link to online resource below)
{the above ingredients can be bagged as a dry mix and kept in the pantry for quick use in the future}
1 cup shredded cheddar
½ stick butter, melted

1.     Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2.     Combine the bread mix with the milk, basil, tomato and cheese; stir to blend. (do not over stir)
3.     Pour mixture in a loaf pan. Pour melted butter over the batter and bake on a cookie sheet for 50 minutes until golden brown. (Loaf pan is placed on the cookie sheet to catch any butter that might spill over.)
